Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0 Setup

1) Open Thunderbird

| 2a) Click "Tools" |
| 2b) Click "Account Settings..." |
|
|
3) Click "Add Account..." on the bottom left
 |
|
3) Click "Email account" (The dot should already be in this selection)
Click "Next"

4a) Fill in your name in the first section
4b) Fill in your complete email address
Example: username@megagate, john123@megagate.com
Click "Next"

| 5a) Make sure the dot is in "POP" |
| 5b) For the incoming server, type in mail.megagate.com |
| 5c) For the outgoing server, type in smtp.megagate.com |
Click "Next"

6) Fill in your username for both spaces. Do not include @megagate.com
Click "Next"
|
|
7) Type in "Megagate" for the account name.
Click "Next"
|
|
8) Verify everything is entered correctly.
Click "Finish"
|

You are now taken back to the main Thunderbird window. One of the default settings must
be changed to work with your MegaGate email account.
9) Click "Tools" and then "Account Settings"

| 10a) Click on "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" on the left side |
| 10b) Click "Edit" on the right side |
|
|
11) Uncheck "Use name and password"
Click "Ok"
|
You are now finished! Click the final OK button, you are now ready to use your MegaGate
email in Mozilla Thunderbird.
